Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant released the following statement regarding Senator Oscar Braynon’s designation as 2016 – 2018 Democratic Leader:

“I want to congratulate Senator Braynon on his unanimous election as Senate Democratic Leader-Designate. Over his time in public service in Miami and in Tallahassee, Oscar has done more than earn the trust of his colleagues — he has won the confidence of countless Floridans to fight for them.

“For the next two years, Floridians will have the advantage of Senator Arthenia Joyner’s advocacy for equality and opportunity as the Leader of the Senate Democratic Caucus.
