Florida Democratic Party Hires New Communications Director

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL.-- The Florida Democratic Party continues to build its team under newly elected Chairwoman Terrie Rizzo, announcing their most recent hire of Caroline Rowland to serve as Communications Director.

“I am excited to announce that Caroline will be joining the Florida Democratic Party as Communications Director,” said Chairwoman Terrie Rizzo. “I am confident her enthusiasm for our party, experience with successful Democratic campaigns, and knowledge of the important issues facing working families in Florida will help us to continue to communicate our winning message, and help turn Florida blue in 2018.”

Caroline is a former television journalist, who worked most recently at News 13 in Orlando, and won an Emmy for coverage of President Barack Obama's 2008 election. In 2016 she helped elect Congresswoman Val Demings in Florida's 10th Congressional District, and worked in her congressional office as Communications Director in Washington, D.C. Caroline comes to FDP after working as a Communications Specialist Contractor for the U.S. Army.

Chairwoman Rizzo and team are investing heavily in the Florida Democrats’ 67 County solution which includes greater investment in voter registration, strengthening county DEC’s, candidate training, and messaging core Democratic values.
