Florida Democratic Party Kicks Off New Digital Campaign Targeting Rick Scott
Tallahassee – Today on a conference call Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant and Executive Director Scott Arceneaux announced the launch of a new digital campaign targeting Governor Rick Scott. Through online ads in major newspapers and advertising on social media, the Florida Democratic Party is going to remind voters of Rick Scott's failed record and wrong priorities. The campaign will serve to energize and engage tens of thousands of our grassroots supporters daily and focus our efforts on defeating Rick Scott.
The centerpiece of the campaign is a brand new website: RealRickScott.com, which is dedicated to exposing the truth about Rick Scott's extreme agenda and wrong priorities.
"We recognize a real need to educate middle of the road voters about Rick Scott's real record, the one one he won't tell them about," said Florida Democratic Party Executive Director Scott Arceneaux. "For example, this year he called tuition hikes 'tax increases' — but he has signed multiple tuition hikes totaling double digits in the past two years. He wants to run from his record. We won't let him."
"Rick Scott cut education by record amounts. He spent millions in taxpayer dollars on corporate giveaways. And over and over again, he has disrespected immigrants, new Americans, and denied them their rights," added Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant. "Our new digital campaign will give Florida voters the facts about Rick Scott's failed record."
