Today, Florida Democratic Party Chair Terrie Rizzo issued the following statement on today’s gubernatorial debate:

“Today, we heard four outstanding candidates lay out their bold, progressive visions for Florida’s future. While Republicans pledge allegiance to Donald Trump, our candidates are talking about their plans to create good-paying jobs, expand access to health care, defend public education, and end gun violence in our state.”

“Over the past twenty years, Florida Republicans have built an economy where nearly half of Florida families can’t make ends meet and 36 counties have lost jobs. Floridians want change and need a governor who will finally work for them. After hearing these four candidates today, it’s clear that Democrats are in the best position in a generation to retake the Governor’s Mansion.”
