New Questions Emerge For Lobbyist Jolly Over Millionaire Benefactors’ Agenda That Hurts Seniors

Who’s Behind Special Interest Lobbyist David Jolly? A Millionaire With An Extreme Agenda To Hurt Seniors

Tallahassee, FL – There are new questions emerging today for special interest Lobbyist David Jolly to answer about the radical beliefs espoused by his benefactor and campaign finance co-chair, extreme millionaire James MacDougald.

After Jolly’s lobbying firms were paid $90,000 by MacDougald’s organization, is Jolly really claiming that he wasn’t pushing his radical agenda in Congress?

“If special interest Lobbyist David Jolly wasn’t pushing MacDougald’s radical agenda in Congress, then why was Jolly’s firm paid nearly $100,000 by MacDougald?” said Florida Democratic Party spokesman Joshua Karp. “The facts are that Lobbyist Jolly was MacDougald’s hired gun in Washington, and Jolly’s own beliefs are strikingly in line with his shady benefactor’s Tea Party ideology. Lobbyist Jolly would protect unfair tax breaks for millionaires, like MacDougald, while making Pinellas seniors, veterans and middle class families pay more – which is yet another reason we can’t trust Lobbyist Jolly.”

In his book “Unsustainable,” Jolly’s benefactor MacDougald outlines a radical ideology that is out of step with Pinellas residents – including calling the Social Security Trust Fund a “Ponzi scheme,” labeling the Department of Education “unconstitutional,” and even taking a page from the Mitt Romney playbook and stating that 47% of Americans who paid no income taxes are dependent on government welfare. Jolly himself has echoed many of MacDougald’s more radical beliefs, stating recently that “Social Security is not guaranteed.”
