Candidates Come Out in Support of HB 7069, Which Will Cost Public Schools Hundreds of Millions of Dollars

Tonight, both Ron DeSantis and Adam Putnam came out in support of funneling taxpayer dollars away from public schools and towards unaccountable, for-profit private charter schools.

Both candidates made clear at tonight’s debate that they support HB 7069, which passed the legislature two years ago and allows hundreds of millions in taxpayer money to be diverted from public schools and go into the hands of for profit, unaccountable private interests.
