“Policy Advisory Committee” Again Shows Rubio Wants To Impose Extreme Philosophy On Sunshine State
Reacting to former Miami Lobbyist and Speaker Marco Rubio’s “Policy Advisory Committee,” which includes many Washington politicians and partisan Republicans but just two Floridians, the Florida Democratic Party today slammed Rubio’s shameless attempts to impose his rigid philosophy on the Sunshine State.
“Once again Floridians see that former Speaker Marco Rubio is running for the Senate to impose his extreme philosophy on Floridians rather than to fight for us in Washington.  While Rubio’s policy committee includes Washington Republicans working to privatize Social Security, end Medicare as we know it, and continue the failed economic policies that led to so many Floridians losing their jobs or homes, the fact that Rubio could only find two Floridians for his Policy Advisory Committee out of the nearly 20 million Floridians is downright scandalous,” said Florida Democratic Party spokesman Eric Jotkoff. “During these tough economic times, Floridians are looking for leaders to fight for us rather than typical politicians like Rubio, who once again today showed us that he is only interested in fighting for his extreme philosophical agenda.”
