DAVID RIVERA’S IRRATIONAL BEHAVIOR CONTINUES: CALLS HIMSELF “SON OF GOD,” ACCUSES OPPONENT OF WORKING FOR COMMUNIST DICTATOR
Once again, David Rivera is demonstrating a pattern of irrational behavior that shows him to be unfit to serve in public office. This afternoon, on the day a poll was released showing him down and that an FEC complaint was filed against him, in an interview on Actualidad 1020 AM, Rivera accused his opponent of working for communist dictator Fidel Castro. Rivera said in Spanish “Joe Garcia has clearly and openly turned into one of Fidel’s henchmen in this community.” Previously, Rivera called himself “the son of God” in an interview on AmericaTeVe Channel 41 on August 27. Eric Jotkoff, spokesman for the Florida Democratic Party, issued the following statement: “David Rivera is once again showing a disturbing pattern of irrational behavior. As police records show, in 2002, when polls showed a tight race, Rivera literally ran a mail van off the Palmetto Expressway to stop it from distributing mail pieces linking him to domestic violence allegations. When the going gets tough, David Rivera has demonstrated that he will say and do anything to win an election.  It’s clear that his irrational behavior is simply wrong for South Florida.”
