Vice President Joe Biden To Deliver Keynote At 2011 “A Legacy of Leadership: A Promise for Tomorrow” Florida Democratic Party Convention

Tallahassee, FL – The Florida Democratic Party announced today that US Vice President Joe Biden will address the Florida Democratic Party 2011 State Convention as the keynote speaker at the “A Legacy of Leadership: A Promise for Tomorrow: dinner on Friday, October 28, 2011.

“Vice President Biden’s attendance sends a clear message about the importance of our state in this year’s Presidential Election”, Florida Democratic Party Chairman Rod Smith said. “Our state’s 29 electoral votes are crucial to ensuring this nation continues to move forward over the next four years. We are honored that he will attend and help us kick-off the 2012 election.”

With 29 crucial electoral votes, Florida is one of the most important swing state in the country. Pulling together, as we did in 2008, Democrats will run a strong grassroots campaign to re-elect President Obama, Senator Nelson and send more Democrats fighting for middle class families to Congress to join our Democratic Delegation. This year’s State Convention will harness Democrats collective enthusiasm and focus on electing Democrats in 2012.
