FLA Dems Statement on GOP Playing Politics with Middle Class Tax Cuts

Tallahassee, FL – The Florida Democratic Party today released the following statement urging the GOP to stop playing political games and calling on Congress to pass the middle class tax cut.

Statement from Florida Democratic Party Executive Director Scott Arceneaux:

“As absurd as it is for the GOP to be playing politics with the payroll tax cut, it isn’t surprising. It’s the same old, worn-out political tactic we’ve seen from the Republicans time and again. While millionaires like Mitt Romney flippantly toss $10,000 bets around like it’s no big deal and refer to the payroll tax cut as a ‘little band aid,’ the middle class is struggling to make ends meet. President Obama’s plan puts $1,500 into the pockets of families across the country. Now is the time for the US Congress to put America’s families first, stop playing games and pass the payroll tax cut.”
