We’ve all heard that Mitt Romney’s answer to the wage equality issues facing our country was to look through “binders full of women” when he was governor. But that got us thinking – if Florida’s women had a “binder” on Congressmen Southerland, Webster and West — what would it say?
Brace yourself ladies, you won’t like what you find: Southerland, Webster and West have all voted against equal pay for Florida’s women and to raise the cost of healthcare for women seniors by thousands of dollars every year. And whether they’re voting against the Violence Against Women Act or voting to deny women access to lifesaving healthcare, these three representatives have shown time and again that their extreme record is out of touch with Florida’s values.
We’ll be dropping these binders off at Southerland’s, Webster’s and West’s campaign offices today — just in case there are any female campaign staffers who’d like a “binder” on their boss.
