FL Dems Statement on Mike Clelland's Upset in HD 29

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida Democratic Party today released the following statement congratulating Democrat Mike Clelland in his victory against Tallahassee special interest crony, former incoming House Speaker Chris Dorworth. 

STATEMENT FROM FL DEMS CHAIR ROD SMITH:

“In the upset of the evening, firefighter Mike Clelland clinched an important victory tonight against former incoming House Speaker Chris Dorworth. We congratulate Clelland for his impressive victory. Clelland is a true leader who knows what public service is all about and he’ll bring that same fighting spirit to Tallahassee. 

“In a stunning upset, the people of central Florida sent a strong message to embattled Republicans in Tallahassee who put the special interests ahead of the interests of the people they serve.  Dorworth has proven time and again he’s not on our side and today the voters reminded him who he works for.”
