Tallahassee, FL – The Florida Democratic Party today released the following statement in response to Gov. Rick Scott’s State of the State speech.

STATEMENT FROM FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR ALLISON TANT:

“Poll-tested promises in hand, an embattled Rick Scott today abandoned everything he campaigned in order to get reelected. Failing to create the 700,000 new jobs he promised and with an approval rating that remains underwater after slashing $1.3 billion in education funding, Scott is desperately trying to reverse course on his toxic Tea Party agenda. The truth is, Scott has the wrong priorities for Florida and is hurting middle class families.
