Tallahassee – In response to Republican Party of Florida Chair Lenny Curry’s remarks regarding pensions for Jacksonville’s first responders, Florida Chair Allison Tant issued the following statement:

“The only epic failures here are Lenny Curry attacking Mayor Brown for his opposition to a tax increase and playing political games with a pension reform issue that affects hard-working taxpayers and brave public safety employees. Our police officers and firefighters deserve better than to have the head of the Republican Party of Florida politicize their pensions and an important local issue.”
