In response to Florida’s dramatic May job losses, Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant made the following statement:

“Floridians deserve a governor they can lean on in these difficult economic times. Rick Scott promised Floridians 1.7 million jobs, but he has failed to deliver. Now our state lost the most jobs in the country last month. Under Rick Scott, those at the top are doing better than ever – but the middle class is still hurting. Florida’s middle class just can’t depend on Rick Scott, and that’s why they don’t trust him.”
