Miami, FL — Today, as Paul Ryan continued his secret meetings on healthcare in Florida, Florida Democratic Party Spokesperson Johanna Cervone released the following statement:
“After being forced to pull his deeply unpopular Trumpcare bill due to lack of support within his own party, Paul Ryan continues on his odyssey to gut our healthcare system. In typical Republican fashion, he will hold a secret meeting in Florida aimed at repealing the Affordable Care Act which provides health coverage for 1.3 million Floridians, the most of any other state in the country. Florida families can’t afford Trumpcare and should not have to suffer the consequences of a law written in secret that seeks to strip healthcare from those who need it the most.”
