FDP Calls on Governor Scott to Reconsider Special Elections

TALLAHASSEE, Fl.– The Florida Democratic Party is calling on Governor Rick Scott to reconsider holding Special Elections in House District 33, and Senate District 16. FDP Chair Terrie Rizzo released the following statement:

“Governor Scott’s decision to not hold special elections will leave constituents in House District 33, and Senate District 16 without representation for nearly a year, which leaves them without basic constituent services. This isn’t about politics, this is about ensuring all Floridians have access to the services they need. I urge him to reconsider holding special elections in HD 33 and SD 16, as he has in several other districts across the state.”
