Statement by FDP Chair Terrie Rizzo on Sen. Perry Thurston, Jr.

Terrie Rizzo, chair of the Florida Democratic Party, issued the following statement on Sen. Perry Thurston’s (District 33) designation as Leader-Designate of the Senate Democratic Caucus starting in 2022:

“We congratulate Sen. Perry Thurston, Jr. on his election as the Leader-Designate of the Senate Democratic Caucus for 2022.

Sen. Thurston has been a tireless fighter for working families, seniors and people of color his entire career and throughout his term as House Democratic Leader. We are excited about continuing to work with him and look forward to him continuing his leadership on the issues important to all Floridians.”
