WATCH: FDP Blasts DeSantis’s MAGA Legislative Session
Today, as Florida’s regular legislative session comes to an end, the Florida Democratic Party released a video highlighting the extreme agenda that Ron DeSantis pushed through in an effort to boost his own national ambitions and cater to the MAGA base ahead of a potential presidential run.
In addition to the video, Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried released the following statement:
“In order to shore up his presidential campaign, Ron DeSantis used Florida’s legislative session the last few months to push an extreme MAGA agenda at the expense of finding real solutions to the issues that Floridians are facing. DeSantis got his wishlist, including a more extreme abortion ban, a law that could make it easier for criminals to carry guns, and a helping hand to the insurance companies who are crushing Florida homeowners with skyrocketing rates. Floridians are being steamrolled by DeSantis’s extreme ‘Florida blueprint,’ and working families are footing the bill.”
