FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY SLAMS RICK SCOTT’S VOTE AGAINST THE BIPARTISAN NATIONAL SECURITY SUPPLEMENTAL

Today, Senator Rick Scott voted against a bipartisan national security supplemental that will provide critical funding for our military and our allies. In response, the Florida Democratic Party has issued the following statement:

“Rick Scott’s vote against the bipartisan national security supplemental is a slap in the face to our military and our allies,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried. “The only person Rick cares about is himself, and the only consideration he makes is ‘how will this advance my own political goals?’ His shameful, self-serving decision-making process is a threat to national security and has no place in the United States Senate.

“It’s times like these that remind us what is at stake in 2024. Florida’s military families deserve better representation, and Florida Democrats will continue working tirelessly to make sure they get it by electing a Democrat to the U.S. Senate.”
