Florida Democrats Celebrate Our Leaders As Women’s History Month Begins

In recognition of Women’s History Month, the Florida Democratic Party has released the following statement:

“Florida Democrats celebrate Women’s History Month by recognizing the strong women who are leading the charge in Florida politics and the moms, sisters, partners and friends who lead every day in our communities,” said FDP Chair Nikki Fried. “Since Roe v. Wade was overturned, every state has turned into a battleground for women’s rights — in 2024, Florida is at the forefront of that fight.

“I am proud to stand alongside Senate Democratic Leader Lauren Book and House Democratic Leader Fentrice Driskell, two strong women leaders in the legislature, as we fight back against the ongoing attacks on women’s rights. The Florida Democratic Party celebrates their accomplishments and promises to continue pushing back against the Republican Party’s attempts to roll back women’s rights.”
