Florida Democratic Party Calls Out Trump’s Disastrous Climate Record
Earlier today, Joe Biden unveiled his plan to create millions of jobs through investing in sustainable infrastructure and clean energy. In contrast, Donald Trump has not followed through on his campaign promises to rebuild America and has called climate change a “hoax.”
“Donald Trump has flirted with allowing oil and gas drilling off Florida’s coast, bizarrely claimed that noise from wind turbines can cause cancer, and rolled back critical Obama-Biden era climate policies,” said Frances Swanson, spokesperson for the Florida Democratic Party, “While Trump is standing in the way of progress, Joe Biden is offering a thoughtful, comprehensive plan to mitigate the climate crisis and create millions of clean energy jobs.”

“The EPA is still required to regulate greenhouse gases, but the CPP’s new replacement, the Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) rule, is drastically weaker. The ACE rule would lower power sector emissions by 11 million tons by 2030, or between 0.7 percent and 1.5 percent. The EPA noted that long-term industry trends are expected to still push emissions down 35 percent, but that’s largely independent of the ACE rule.”

The Americans have the President whose hatred of windmills is no less epic. He thinks they're cancer-causing bird killers that drive down property values, and he fought against putting them within sight of his golf course.
Politico: Interior to push drilling in Florida waters after November election [7.14.2]
The Trump administration is preparing to open the door to oil and gas drilling off Florida’s coast — but will wait until after the November election to avoid blowback in a swing state whose waters both parties have long considered sacrosanct, according to four people familiar with the plan.
