Florida Dems Respond to Criminal Investigation Around CFO Patronis' Release of Sexual Harassment Claims

On July 16, a report from the Tampa Bay Times revealed CFO Jimmy Patronis and his office may have acted illegally when they released claims of sexual harassment without the victims consent.

FDP Chair Terrie Rizzo released the following statement in light of the allegations:

“The fact that Jimmy Patronis’ office would release reports of sexual harassment allegations without a victim’s consent shows clear misconduct, and if the intention was purely political, makes it criminal. The system is rigged against the victim, to silence them and make them fear coming forward, and this type of action only perpetuates a broken system. Governor DeSantis needs to take swift and clear action to show that he stands against this type of abusive behavior and stands with victims of sexual harassment.”
