On Anniversary of Calling His Own Health Care Bill "Mean," Trump Still Can't Be Trusted with Floridians Health Care

On this day in 2017, Donald Trump stood in front of a group of Republican Senators and for once, uttered a truthful fact –– his health care agenda –– was simply just too “mean.”

To mark this anniversary, Florida Democratic Party Chair Terrie Rizzo issued the following statement:

“When Donald Trump accidentally told the truth, he made it clear that Floridians can’t trust him with our health care. If Trump had his way, he’d strip away protections for those with preexisting conditions, spike costs and prioritize the interests of big drug and insurance companies over hardworking Floridians. In 2020, Florida voters will hold him and Republicans at every level accountable.”
