Marco Rubio Is Abandoning Floridians While Caving To His Donors And Party Bosses

Marco Rubio doesn’t have the courage to stand up and fight for what’s best for Florida. On issues ranging from lowering the cost of living to protecting reproductive freedom to stopping gun violence, Rubio has put his donors and party bosses’ agenda ahead of what everyday Floridians need. In the past few months alone, Rubio has staked out extreme positions on some of the most important issues to Floridians:

  • Rubio voted against the CHIPS and Science Act, bipartisan legislation to help lower costs for Floridians and invest in American manufacturing to help businesses compete with their rivals in China. And his attempts to run from his opposition to the bill have fallen flat.
  • He opposed commonsense bipartisan legislation to stop gun violence, breaking the promises he made to Florida families after the Parkland shooting and siding with his gun industry donors who have spent millions on his campaigns.

“When Marco Rubio isn’t complaining about having to show up for work, he’s voting the way his special interest donors and party bosses want. With the general election campaign for Senate about to begin, Rubio is refusing to step up to help everyday Floridians, and voters are learning more about his record of failing our state,” said Florida Democratic Party spokesperson Grant Fox.
