Senior Advisor
Overview:
The Florida Democratic Party is looking to hire a Senior Advisor to help strategize and implement tools to build a strong state party and coordinated campaign operation, advise the Executive Director, Chair and Coordinated Director and build strong relationships within all aspects of the Florida Democratic Party. We need a strong individual who can help with budget management, campaign strategy, political relationships, communications and voter contact.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic and tactical partner to Executive Director and Coordinated Director on the operations and budget of the Florida Democratic Party and the Coordinated Campaign;
- Advise and assist in direction/execution of strategic and tactical goals;
- Assists in the development of long-term strategic planning;
- Help promote the party platform and party communications;
- Advise on voter contact and communications spending, strategy, and tactics;
- Assist with building and managing the coordinated table;
- Direct or assist in the direction of staff as needed;

2022 Florida Coordinated Campaign – Spanish Language Voter Contact Director
The Florida Democratic Coordinated Campaign is seeking a Spanish Language Voter Contact Director to join our growing team. 2022 will be a critical election year in Florida, with highly-competitive races up and down the ballot, including nationally-watched races for U.S. Senate, Governor and U.S. Congress in the most diverse battleground in the country. The Coordinated Campaign will build the statewide turnout operation needed to mobilize and persuade voters to support Florida Democrats in November 2022. Starting the earliest in a decade the Florida Coordinated Campaign will be engaging with voters where they are at, in the language that they speak to deliver votes for the Democratic Ticket!
Role Overview
The Spanish Language Voter Contact Director is a first of it’s kind position with the Florida Democratic Party. This position will be responsible for creating the Spanish language organizing direct voter contact programs. Especially focusing on volunteer recruitment, mobilization, and persuasion programs using every tool available to the coordinated campaign. The Spanish Language Voter Contact Director will work closely with the Organizing Director, Data Director to ensure proper implementation of these programs. This position reports directly to the Coordinated Campaign Director.
The SVCD will also maintain all Spanish voter contact scripts to ensure consistency across all methods of communication across the Coordinated Campaign
Spanish Language Voter Contact Director:
- Coordinates efforts between Organizing, Data, and Digital programs to ensure no program lives in a silo.
- Serves as the long-range planner — sets time on leadership calendars to do long-range planning, and lead efforts to plan ahead on program.
- Takes the lead on some projects associated with that long-range planning, including GOTV lead-up projects and DVC follow-up programs (mail, text and paid media).
- Facilitates the creation of plans to contact each type of voter (supporters, undecideds, leaners, etc) with the Digital, Data, and Organizing Directors.
- Coordinates voter contact projects that involve heavy HQ input across multiple parties at the Coordinated Table
- Consult and coordinate with key Hispanic leaders and organizations on voter contact/outreach programs.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years/cycles in political, advocacy, administrative work, and/or operations with at least 1 year/cycle managing an organizing program.
- The ability to speak Spanish and understand cultural differences in the Latino communities of Florida.

Responsibilities Include:
- Design and build reports that track progress and health of key programmatic priorities, including voter contact, volunteer recruitment, leadership development, and constituency outreach.

Deputy Director of Communications
The Florida Democratic Party (FDP) is seeking an experienced Deputy Director of Communications to work with the Senior Communications Advisor to successfully run the party’s communications department. As part of the senior management team the Deputy Director will help to develop and implement an overall branding and messaging plan and strategy; act as a FDP spokesperson when appropriate/required; develop, maintain, and grow connections and relationships with the local, state and national press; and work with Democratic elected officials, party officials and allies to hold Republicans accountable while sharing Democratic priorities and messages.
This position will report to the Senior Communications Advisor and will share the responsibility of handling all internal and external communications and establishing long-term goals and strategies to raise the Democratic Party’s profile and strengthen the Democratic Party’s narrative. The Deputy Communications Director will also be an integral part of driving earned media and rapid response efforts and is expected to contribute on several office-wide projects including, but not limited to, large-scale fundraisers, large events, elections, the Convention and other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working closely with the Senior Communications Advisor and party leaders to develop and implement an overarching communications strategy, plans and messages for the FDP;
- Identifying and executing daily rapid response opportunities;
- Ensuring message continuity across all areas of communications programs;
- Helping build and execute an aggressive statewide surrogate program;
- Writing and editing external communications, including talking points, statements, scripts, press releases, presentations, op-eds and other media outreach materials for the Chair and ED of the FDP, as well as our Democratic leaders when needed;

2022 Florida Coordinated Campaign – Operations Director
The FL Coordinated Campaign is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Director for the 2022 Florida Coordinated Campaign. Candidates should be committed to building the grassroots turnout operation needed to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
Role Overview
The Operations Director will be responsible for building and managing the operations and logistics of the statewide 2022 Florida Coordinated Campaign. The Operations Director will ensure that all programmatic departments have the resources and tools needed to register, persuade, and turnout voters across the State of Florida in a first of its kind multilingual approach to campaigning. The Operations Director will act as a senior member of the state’s coordinated campaign leadership team and will report directly to the Coordinated Campaign Director.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement long-term strategies to organize and manage coordinated campaign operations and lead logistics-heavy interdepartmental projects
- Manage the day-to-day logistics for the coordinated campaign team including ongoing audits and distribution of supplies, technology, equipment, and literature across the state as needed
- Locate and secure regional offices, finalize leases, set-up utilities, and other necessary needs
- Address and resolve the operational issues and needs from the coordinated team in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage components of staff onboarding training as it relates to policies, procedures, and security standards set by the campaign
- Work closely with the Coordinated Campaign Director to accurately track projected expenses and manage the coordinated campaign budget
- Coordinate and manage payroll for all coordinated campaign employees including tracking hours for all non-exempt employees

Executive/Administrative Assistant
The Florida Democratic Party is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to assist in the day to day needs of the FDP Chair and Executive Director. This position is based in South Florida and reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serving as primary reception for callers and office visitors. This includes greeting and responding to any/all inquiries and directing callers & visitors to the appropriate staffer;
- Distributing all incoming mail and ensuring that outgoing mail reaches the carrier(s);
- Assuming responsibility for office machinery (i.e. postage machine, copiers, and fax machines). This includes having a working knowledge of machines, ensuring they are stocked and in working order and training others in their use as needed;
- Tracking, reporting & invoicing for use of postage, overnight mail and copy machines;
- Serving as primary liaison with vendors who service and supply office machinery;
- Maintaining, ordering and overseeing all office supplies and stationary (letterhead, envelopes, etc.);
- Scheduling use of office(s) by outside groups; maintaining schedule for use of conference rooms;

Voter Protection Deputy Director
We seek a talented Deputy Director of Voter Protection to ensure that all eligible Floridians are able to cast their ballot in Florida election. Our right to vote is fundamental to all that we hope to accomplish; the Deputy Director of Voter Protection is a crucial role that will manage a robust, proactive, year-round voter protection program, ensuring free and fair elections in Florida.
What You’ll Do
As our Deputy Director of Voter Protection, you will have four main areas of responsibility:
- Support the Voter Protection Director to expand access and defend against incursions to the franchise at the state, local, and municipal level
- Research and develop proactive strategies to expand access to the franchise, including voter registration, ballot access, and ballot counting processes. Strategies will include legislation, executive action, and public campaigns, among others. Consider timeline of improvements and appropriate organizational collaborations to ensure implementation.
- Monitor and inform legislation related to voting and elections.
- Collect and document information on local voting practices, including polling locations, early voting sites, and vote by mail rules
- Identify potential threats to the franchise and support the mobilization of a coordinated response within the Party.
- Lead the execution of voter education, outreach, and intervention programs, both ongoing and specific to each election cycle
- Ensure that all programs, deliverables, and experiences are on time and of high quality.
- Manage a robust poll watcher programs for Elections, including training volunteers, polling place prioritization and assignment, reporting mechanisms, and issue resolution processes.
- Ensure that all communications to voters include timely, relevant, and accurate information about voting, including the voter protection hotline number.
- Support the Voter Protection Boiler Rooms on Election Day, making sure that voters’ issues are thoroughly documented, resolved where possible, and escalated and aggregated where appropriate.
- Support the Voter Protection Hotline Director in volunteer recruiting, training, operations, reporting, and issue resolution. Monitor calls to the hotline to identify trends and proactively resolve issues.
- Support strong partnerships with county-level officials
- Cultivate strong relationships with county-level officials to advance proactive improvements to voting, respond to threats, and resolve issues for individual voters.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to serve as County SOE Advocates and Volunteer Managers, who will work with you to maintain strong relationships with Supervisor of Elections in their counties. Support regular communications with Liaisons, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and effective issue resolution.
- Design and maintain strong data practices
- Administer LBJ, VAN/Votebuilder, Google Forms and other database tools to track issues, volunteers, and voters.
- Ensure that all volunteers and staff are properly utilizing databases and that their reports are timely, accurate, and escalated appropriately.
- Develop regular review processes to monitor reports, ensure all voter issues have been resolved, and aggregate and escalate trends

The Florida Democratic Coordinated Campaign is seeking skilled and passionate Regional Organizing Directors to join our growing team. 2022 will be a critical election year in Florida, with highly-competitive races up and down the ballot, including nationally-watched races for U.S. Senate, Governor and U.S. Congress in the most diverse battleground in the country. Field Organizer (Coordinated Campaign)
Role and Responsibilities
- Field Organizers are vital to the success of our voter contact efforts. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of voter outreach teams. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting and training volunteers, organizing events, and representing the party at community events. This is an in-person position that will require travel throughout an assigned turf.
- Identify, recruit, and train groups of volunteers to conduct voter contact, registration and more
- Lead/train volunteers through the various phases of the campaign

FDP Human Resources Coordinator and Bookkeeper
Applicant Requirements and Job Description
Purpose of position:
The Bookkeeper & Compliance Coordinator will oversee the following processes:
- Serve as Human Resources Coordinator and Bookkeeper, administering a procedure for accounts payable/receivable, human resources, and compliance with the state and federal government regulations.
- Applicant should:
- Possess a strong knowledge of state and federal campaign finance laws.
- Have previous work experience with political campaign finance.
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Have good management aptitude and/or demonstrated skills.
- Be detail oriented.
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Paychex, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise accounting software and Google Workspace.
- Ability to set and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced office environment with many distractions.
Human Resources:
- Administer payroll on a bi-monthly basis.
- Manage the onboarding of new employees.
- Maintain employee files.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding human resources issues.
Accounts Payable:
- Analyze invoices/bills and coordinate with the compliance consultant to process payments.
- Pay invoices/bills on a weekly basis or as needed.
- Communicate with vendors regarding the progress of their invoices.
- Maintain a system of filing paid invoices/bills.
Accounts Receivable:
- Processing contributions including, coordinate with the compliance consultant, entering data into the database, preparing contributions for deposit, and making deposits.
- Enter deposit totals into accounting software.
- Maintain records of contributions and deposits.
Compliance:
- Work with compliance consultant to file the required reports with the Federal Election Commission monthly and the FL State Board of Elections quarterly.
- Maintain records of monetary and in-kind contributions to candidates
- and party committees.
- Assure state and federal campaign finance laws are adhered to.
