Florida Democrats Raise Record $7.7 Million; Save $2 million For General Election Efforts
Continuing the Florida Democratic Party’s record fundraising fueled by the enormous grassroots enthusiasm to clean up the Republican mess in Tallahassee, the party raised $7,700,000 in the second quarter.
Not only does this virtually tie the Republicans fundraising during the same period, by spending more wisely and efficiently, Democrats saved nearly $2 million for our general election efforts banking almost $400,000 more than the Republican Party of Florida.
“It is time for new and different leadership for Florida,” said Florida Democratic Party Chair Karen Thurman. “It is time for leadership from Democrats fighting to clean up the Republican mess in Tallahassee, to bring good jobs to the Sunshine State, and get our state back on track. The out pouring of support from grassroots donors once again shows that Democrats are organized and energized for November.”
