3 Days Later, Allen West Still Lying about His Ties to the Outlaws
This morning at a forum in Palm Beach hosted by the Palm Beach Civic Association, Allen West continued to lie about his ties to an infamous organized crime syndicate called the Outlaws.  At the event, West said, “I am not associated with a criminal gang.”
THE FACTS:  Allen West defended the Outlaws in emails, said the Outlaws once guarded him, and was photographed with members of clubs that brag about their ties to the Outlaws. He is also a contributor to a magazine that promotes the Outlaws.
NBC News reported that West has direct ties to the Outlaws. NBC confronted West with emails he personally wrote.  When the Outlaws were referred to as criminals, Allen West wrote back “please no more references to ‘criminal’ … I was never more amazed by how members of the Outlaws guarded me.” [NBC News, 10/15/10]
Allen West was photographed with members of clubs that brag about their ties to the Outlaws.   “In August, he was photographed here.  Speaking at a constitutional rights rally sponsored by clubs which brag that they are affiliated with the Outlaws.”  [NBC News, 10/15/10]
