Chairman Smith Congratulates U.S. Representative Wasserman Schultz On Nomination As DNC Chair

Florida Democratic Party Chairman Rod Smith released the following statement congratulating U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz on her nomination by President Obama to be the next Chair of the Democratic National Committee:

“I served in the Florida Senate with Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and know that she has the passion and vision to be an outstanding Chair of the Democratic National Committee.

“She has consistently fought to protect Florida’s children, empower women, and improve the quality of life for middle class families.
