Statement from FLA DEMS on July Report Showing FL Lost Over 22K Jobs

Tallahassee, FL – The Florida Democratic Party today released a statement on the July jobs report showing the state lost over 22,000 jobs and the unemployment rate rose to 10.7-percent. Florida’s dismal job loss marks the second largest drop in the nation.

Statement from Scott Arceneaux, Executive Director of the Florida Democratic Party:

“Since the Governor took office his mantra has been ‘jobs, jobs, jobs’, but his actions – and today’s report of rising unemployment – speak louder than his words. Florida has lost over 22,000 jobs, yet anotherindication that Rick Scott and the Republicans care more about promoting their Tea Party agenda then creating the jobs they promised and Floridians need.”
