Tallahassee, FL —  As embattled Governor Rick Scott and Lt. Governor Jennifer Carrol campaign this morning with the Republican Party of Florida in Duval county, the Florida Democratic Party issued the following statement.  

STATEMENT FROM FDP SPOKESWOMAN BRANNON JORDAN: 

“With 52-percent of Floridians disapproving of the job Rick Scott has done, we are happy to welcome the Governor to the campaign trail. We can only hope that Governor Scott will join Mitt Romney and Republicans up and down the ballot to campaign across the state as Scott explains how these GOP candidates share his Tea Party vision for Florida.”

Background:

A recent Quinnipiac University survey found that 52-percent of Florida voters disapprove of the job Rick Scott has done. The poll also found that Independents, men, women, African Americans, Hispanics and all subgroups by income or age disapprove of the job Rick Scott has done.
