Tallahassee, FL – Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant made the following statement congratulating Alex Sink on her decisive debate victory over Washington lobbyist David Jolly:

“Pinellas residents  saw a clear contrast tonight: Alex Sink has a proven record of bringing Republicans and Democrats together to focus on solving problems, while Washington lobbyist David Jolly would make the dysfunction and gridlock in Congress even worse, just like lobbyists always do. Lobbyist Jolly would balance our budget  by making seniors, veterans and middle class families pay more – praising  the Ryan Budget that ends the Medicare guarantee and lobbying for an extreme group that supports privatizing Social Security while protecting unfair tax breaks for his corporate clients and the wealthiest few. It’s clear tonight that Pinellas residents just can’t trust a Washington lobbyist like David Jolly to lookout for Pinellas in Congress.”
