FACT CHECK: Rick Scott’s Refusal To Acknowledge Climate Change

CLAIM: Rick Scott says he’s focused on solutions on climate change. 

FACTS: Rick Scott still refuses to address the problem of climate change and won’t even acknowledge its existence. Scott begrudgingly met with climate change scientists earlier this year only to walk out at the end of the meeting andoffer no public comment on whether or not he had learned anything or was persuaded. He claims to want solutions (to a problem he won’t even acknowledge), yet refuses to take any action when presented with them.
