In recognition of the first night of Hanukkah, Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant released the following statement:

“Tonight, my family and Jewish families across Florida and around the world will begin the celebration of Hanukkah. As we light candles tonight and for the nights ahead, we will remember the miracle that happened in Jerusalem over two thousand years ago. Let us rededicate ourselves to living out our values in the world, regardless of what faith we each observe, as we gather with friends and family this holiday season.
