Today, Florida Democratic Party Executive Director Scott Arceneaux issued the following statement calling on Governor Rick Scott to sign online voter registration into law: 

“It’s rare that the legislature is able to reach such a strong bipartisan consensus on such a substantial piece of legislation. Online voter registration is a no-brainer: it saves the state money, has universal support from supervisors of elections, and is more secure than paper forms. Both parties in the legislature recognized that expanding voter participation is good for our democracy. We need to seize this opportunity.

“Governor Rick Scott should immediately sign this bipartisan bill into law and help bring Florida’s electoral process into the 21st century.”
