Republican dysfunction in Tallahassee has already thrown state government into chaos. State agencies are planning for a government shutdown. 

Now, the Standard & Poor’s rating agency has put Florida Republicans on notice: “Florida’s AAA bond rating could be in jeopardy if the Legislature misses June 30 budget deadline,” reports the Tampa Bay Times.

Here’s what’s clear: Richard Corcoran, Rick Scott, and the Florida GOP have brought the worst of Washington dysfunction to Florida. They’re not just threatening the health care of Floridians — now they are putting Florida’s economy in jeopardy, and the middle class is paying the price.
