Statement On Sandra Ruiz’s Campaign for Doral Mayor

FDP Chair Tant, Mayor Andrew Gillum Welcome Ruiz to Race

Today, following Sandra Ruiz’s announcement that she will run for mayor of Doral, Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, who currently serves as chair of the FDP’s Municipal Victory Project, made the following statements:

“I am thrilled to welcome Sandra Ruiz to the Doral mayoral race,” said FDP Chair Allison Tant. “Sandra was the first woman elected to the Doral City Council and I am confident she will continue to build on her incredible record of success as the first woman to hold the mayor’s office. She has proven time and time again that she has the experience, judgement, and ability to bring the community together to get things done, and I look forward to her continued public service on behalf of the people of Doral.”
