Donald “King of Debt” Trump: Wrong for Florida's Economy

Today, Florida Democratic Party Chair Allison Tant made the following statement regarding Hillary Clinton’s speech on the economy:

“What Floridians heard today from Hillary Clinton was a vision for an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. Clinton has fought her entire life to help children and families and grow the economy from the middle out. Her plan prioritizes investments in education, clean energy, infrastructure, and technology, while working to ensure Wall Street and large corporations do more to pay their fair share. The contrast with Donald ‘King of Debt’ Trump could not be more clear.

“Trump’s entire career has been spent lurching from one failed business to another, ripping of countless hardworking Americans and taxpayers in the process. His economic proposals would create the Trump Recession, costing 3.5 million jobs, stagnating incomes, and exploding the debt by more than $30 trillion over 20 years. His tax cut plan would line the pockets of the wealthiest 1% and his proposed repeal of crucial Wall Street reforms would leave Main Street vulnerable yet again.

Donald Trump’s policies would result in an unmitigated disaster for middle class Floridians. He’s a risk we just can’t afford — and you don’t have to take my word for it. Just ask Trump about his failed casinos, airline, university, vitamin company, mortgage company, football league, vodka brand, bottled water brand, magazines, and, of course, steaks.”
