In response to Donald Trump’s recent remarks where he defended white supremacists, Florida Democratic Party Communications Director Johanna Cervone issued the following statement:

“Governor Rick Scott has been Donald Trump’s biggest cheerleader from day one. But Donald Trump’s most recent remarks, coming to the defense of Neo-Nazis and white supremacists, are truly a new low. Both of Florida’s Senators–Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio–have explicitly condemned the President for these remarks, but Governor Scott remains silent. With the same Neo-Nazis responsible for Charlottesville, scheduled to visit our state–Rick Scott must speak up and condemn the President’s statements.  He can’t pretend the President’s words don’t have consequences.”
