Today, Governor Rick Scott will speak with Senator Lindsey Graham to discuss replacing the Affordable Care Act with another disastrous Republican plan that will likely raise health care costs for millions of Floridians, Florida Democratic Party spokesperson Johanna Cervone issued the following statement in response: 

 

“Rick Scott and Donald Trump’s deliberate sabotage of the Affordable Care Act is already  raising premiums  across the state and, today, Rick Scott will continue his efforts to strip healthcare from Florida families as he  discusses repealing the Affordable Care Act  with Senator Lindsey Graham. 

 

“Floridians deserve a governor who will work to ensure access to affordable health care. Instead, Rick Scott is playing politics with our health and our economy by actively working to destroy the ACA and replace it with a plan that would raise costs for Floridians and deliver big pay-offs to the special interests who fund his campaigns.”
