Florida Democratic Party Statement on Doug Jones' Victory

 

“Tonight, the people of Alabama made history and they sent a clear message to the Republican party. Unlike Republican leadership, they will not stand by a man accused of child molestation and sexual harassment. Tonight’s win follows a nation-wide trend. Democrats are organizing and resisting the bigoted, dangerous GOP policies led by Donald Trump. Florida is no different: Democrats have the momentum and the grassroots power to flip Florida blue in 2018. Just like Alabama is committed to building a better state, we will build a better Florida by electing Democrats up and down the ticket in 2018.” said FDP spokesperson Johanna Cervone.
