FDP Statement on Trump’s Remarks Referring to Haiti, Other Nations as “Shithole Countries”

  Today, Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Terrie Rizzo issued the following statement on President Trump’s remarks referring to American allies as “shithole countries”:

 “Yesterday, President Trump made remarks which were obscene, racist and vile. While others in the room sought to address the very serious and pressing questions surrounding DACA and Temporary Protected Status for some of the most vulnerable in our communities, Trump yet again chose to debase both the dignity of his office and humanity itself. While the Florida Democratic Party forcefully condemns these remarks, the silence from so-called “leaders” within the GOP such as Commissioner Putnam and Congressman DeSantis has been just as alarming as it has been deafening.”
