FDP Responds to Democratic Amendment Banning Assault Weapons Failing
“For the fourth time in one week, Republican legislators did the bidding of the NRA and struck down a ban on assault rifles. Victims of gun violence from Pulse to Parkland have made a case for a ban and the majority of Floridians support it. Instead of listening to their constituents and banning weapons of war, Republicans are pushing a bill that puts guns in schools and is dismissed by victims, mental health professionals, gun control advocates, and the majority of Florida families,” said FDP Executive Director Juan Penalosa.
