Just 2 days into Senate campaign, Scott facing new scrutiny on record and questions around secret financial account

If Rick Scott faces the press today he’ll have to answer for three major scandals that are already engulfing his campaign:

Moments after Scott announced his campaign the Florida Democratic Party released this digital clock, tracking the amount of time since Scott refused to reveal the details of his secret financial account. More information about Scott’s record on this and other issues is available at SelfServingScott.com.

From Sebastian Kitchen, Florida Democratic Party Spokesman: “Three days into his campaign, Scott is already under fire for the same sort of dishonesty and self-serving politics that have defined his entire career. There is no reason Scott should not immediately disclose his finances and reveal how he used his position as governor to make himself $46 million richer – while driving wages in cities like Jacksonville to the bottom of the nation. Floridians know that Scott can’t be trusted to look out for anyone but himself, but now that he’s running for Senate Scott should stop hiding, stalling and trying to cover up the truth to benefit his political ambitions.”
