Tonight, all five Democratic Gubernatorial candidates debated the issues in Fort Myers. Florida Democratic Party Chair Terrie Rizzo released the following statement:

“Tonight, our Democratic gubernatorial candidates showed yet again why they are the best option to fix the mess created by 20 years of Republican rule. In four debates so far, the Democratic candidates have laid out a clear vision with detailed policy proposals, advocating for creating well-paying jobs, expanding access to healthcare, defending public education, and protecting our environment.

“Conversely, the Republican gubernatorial candidates have consistently avoided the hard questions, having only debated once. Instead of confronting the issues facing Florida, Adam Putnam and Ron DeSantis have engaged in a race to the far right, with both candidates vying to be the most like President Trump.”
