Today, the Florida Democratic Party Chair Terrie Rizzo released the following statement after Republicans blocked the Venezuela TPS Act in the U.S. House of Representatives:

“Republicans like to talk a good game when it comes to standing up for Venezuelans fleeing Maduro’s dictatorship, but when it comes time to take real action they have refused to take it. It is shameful they have put their own interests above providing relief to thousands of Venezuelans in the United States. We thank our Democratic members in Congress for their efforts to help Venezuelans fleeing the Maduro regime, and we will make sure that Republicans are held accountable for their inaction.”
