Florida Democrats slammed Trump after his recent attacks over Puerto Rico officials as Hurricane Dorian approaches the island, and his decision of redirecting money from FEMA to build his useless border wall.

Congresswoman Val Demings sent a statement declaring: “There’s a storm approaching land that may kill American citizens and the President of the United States is insulting and attacking the people in harm’s way while taking funding away from FEMA.” Her response was published by Florida Politics: As Dorian approaches, Central Florida lawmakers pledge Puerto Rico aid; Val Demings rips Donald Trump.

Congresswoman Kathy Castor responded on Twitter to Trump’s attack criticizing his “weak response to Hurricane Maria made the devastation of Puerto Rico worse and cost American lives” and the recent news of FEMA funds being diverted to fund Trump’s border wall.

Congressman Charlie Crist sent a tweet condemning Trump’s decision of diverting disaster relief needed for natural disasters and called for the President to “reverse course on this decision immediately.”
