After yesterday’s President Trump rally in New Mexico, Florida Democratic Party Executive Director Juan Peñalosa released the following statement:

“If Trump’s New Mexico visit was intended to attract Hispanics to his Party, it was a colossal failure. In New Mexico, the President continued to scapegoat our communities and ignore our contributions to America. He did nothing to atone for his inhumane policies that put children in cages and he defended his efforts to increase deportations of Cubans, Venezuelans and other Latinx communities seeking asylum in America. His rhetoric and his policies will ensure Hispanic communities will show up to the polls in 2020 to remove him from office.”
