Marco Rubio Votes Against Bipartisan Bill To Create New Good Paying Jobs In America

Last night, Marco Rubio voted against advancing the America COMPETES Act, bipartisan legislation that would improve America’s supply chains, lower costs for consumers, and create good paying jobs across the country. Despite telling Floridians he wants America to compete with China, Rubio voted against action on legislation that would do just that. 

“Marco Rubio is focused on scoring political points instead of supporting legislation to fight inflation and lower costs by investing in American manufacturing. When it comes to growing our economy, creating American jobs, and standing up to China, Marco Rubio is too weak to step up,” said Florida Democratic Party spokesperson Grant Fox. 

Rubio voted against critical measures to improve America’s economy and increase our competitiveness with rivals overseas. Key provisions in the legislation Rubio has opposed include:
